Pecan Milk!

A few days ago I had a chance to visit the URBAN CITY MARKET, located in Atlanta at 1016 Howell Mill Road, #3208, Atlanta Ga., 30318. While there I had the pleasure of meeting Tony, or Sonny as he prefers to be called, the Owner of the company Pecan Milk Cooperative. (www.pecanmilk.com)

The pecan milk is all natural, made from Georgia grown pecans. There are other varieties of their milk, such as Chocolate pecan, oat milk and oat milk matcha latte. The company is black owned and they promote other food products from black owned companies (even bottled water!)

Pecans have many health benefits. According to the American Pecan council, “pecans have a mixture of unsaturated fats, plant sterols, fiber and flavonoids which make the pecan a superfood for your heart.” So, go ahead and use the pecan milk in your coffee, tea, your cereal or just drink it straight from the bottle. I was personally quite impressed with pecan milk when I drank it myself. I purchased a couple of bottles during my visit to Urban City Market, and will go back for more! The ingredients label state that the milk is also made with purified water, pitted dates, cocoa powder and salt.

Sonny also sells his pecan milk at other stores around town, such as Sevanada Natural Foods Market, just to name one, and will be doing free deliveries in the Metro Atlanta area. Check out their website and Instagram page @pecanmilk for more details.
